Hi! I’m Dex Giese, a mixed media stop motion animator studying in Vancouver, BC. I graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a degree in 2D + Experimental Animation. My work centers around exploring the relationship between imagery + emotion, and I intend to fill my work with as much energy as possible.

| Sustained Investigation | Gouache + Acrylic Paint | 2020 |

This sustained investigation talked about my personal experience with cognitive behavioural therapy, and the different thinking traps that I worked through during the year long investigation. In total I created 5 works, varying in scale, each touching on a different thought pattern I struggled with.
